A Maine Tradition of Good Food & Friendly Faces
Biggest ,ginormous,delicious monster pancake we've ever seen . We had apple and blueberry . You will not clean your plate . Very much a must do while in the area .
I love going to diners and places but find it hard to get full usually. One of my favorites back west was the Black Bear Diner. I always left full. I've been trying to find the equivalent since moving here. This place is it.
This place has large and small portions. You can pick and choose. I got their biggest one and...I have to admit defeat for the first time in a long time. Their sunrise meal with their pancakes was delicious. Unfortunately and fortunately, I couldn't finish all the pancakes because they were so big. Its so satisfying finding a place that fills you for the amount you pay.
I hope purple cow never changes. It's delicious and as much food as you want. My family loved it here. My wife says the bagel was incredibly good. My son loved the chocolate chip pancakes. The poached eggs were actually done well.
If I had to make a change, I'd say expand and have more places! The people are wonderful here. It's our new favorite breakfast place. Thank you for giving me a taste of home.
